Radiesse is a biostimulation filler and it stimulates or encourages the body to produce Collagen I, Collagen III, and Elastin. Our bodies stop making collagen around age 20 and we start to lose collagen as we continue to age. This is what causes the face to slowly droop down creating jowels and wrinkles. Radiesse can help fix that! Radiesse helps to rejuvenate the skin, replace lost volume, and correct any areas of the face that has lost its structure. This biostimulator is made with Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA). CaHA was approved by the FDA for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds in the skin. Depending on where the product is placed, it may be mixed or diluted with another product. Lidocaine may be used to reduce possible discomfort and Bacteriostatic Saline may be used to assist in spreading the product to the intended areas. The product can be placed in many areas of the body, such as: 1. Nasolabial folds and Cheeks 2. Jawline and Chin 3. Buttocks and Legs (Thighs, Knees, etc.) 4. Stomach 5. Hands TOUCH UPS & FINAL RESULTS You will see results right away, but the volume will slowly fade over time. The increased collagen and improved elastin may not be noticeable right away because the product (CaHA) continues to work over the next few months. Final results can be seen right away, but you will also see improvement in your skin quality over the next few months. Be sure to set your appointment before you leave. You should return for your 2nd treatment in 6-8 weeks. Treatments should be repeated at least every year to replace the collagen your body continuously loses. AVOID COMPLICATIONS: Biostimulators and Dermal Fillers should not be used if: •You are pregnant or breastfeeding. •You have allergies to the product, lidocaine, or calcium. •You have a current infection, swelling, a cold sore, or dermatitis of areas that will be injected. •You have a medical condition that causes difficulty healing. You must have a good immune system to get dermal filler injections.
