Lipo-dissolve - Kybella/PCDC
This is a treatment that uses injections of a medication to help the body remove excess fat.
Service Description
What is Lipo-Dissolve? There are two different prescription medications that can be used for this treatment. Patient preference. The medication is injected into the subcutaneous fat to help dissolve the fat over time. This treatment helps to improve the appearance of moderate to severe fat. The treatment plan usually consists of 2-3 treatments and each treatment is at least one month apart. It can be used: •Under the chin to treat a “double chin” •The abdomen for the famous "baby pooch" •Under the arms •The inner thighs ......basically anywhere there is fat. DURATION •It takes 2 weeks for the bruising and swelling to subside •Commonly, it is 2-4 treatments depending on the size of the submental fat •Each treatment is at least one month apart •The removal of the fat cell is permanent AVOID COMPLICATIONS: Kybella® should not be used if: •You are pregnant or breastfeeding •You have a current infection, swelling, or dermatitis of areas that will be injected •You have a history of Dysphasia (difficulty swallowing) •You have any previous treatments or surgeries in the area to be injected Please Note: Every patient will get a consult prior to treatment. This will be to assess whether the treatment will be beneficial for you or not.
